We're glad you're interested in playing with the Pride of San Antonio! Here's a few things you should know about being a member of our band.
- There are no auditions to join the Showband! It doesn't matter if you never stopped playing, or haven't touched your horn in years; we're ready to welcome you to our family!
- Members are generally expected to have their own instruments (excepting percussion). We maintain a limited selection of instruments for loan to our musicians, but you should talk to us first if you need a horn.
- You need to pay your dues. Dues are $5 a month, or $60 for the year. If you are unable to pay your membership dues, talk to the Board of Directors and we can work something out. Financial difficulties are not a roadblock to performing with us!
- You'll need a portable stand for performances where it's not feasible for the band to take the stands from our rehearsal space. You'll also probably need a flip folder and a lyre for pep band performances.
